Champion, aka Champ, is a sweet, handsome boy who loves to play, play, play. He’s fond of toys all shapes and sizes, but he’s especially into balls, which he’ll chase down and bring back to you as many times as you’re willing to throw them.

He’s friendly with all and super gentle. As a southern gent you would think Champ wouldn’t be fond of snow, but he will gladly romp, play, and walk in it. We think there isn’t anything cuter than watching this guy pounce on his toys or destroy a snowball. During the day he likes to be busy playing with his toys, getting pets, going for walks, and cuddling. Despite his playful nature, Champy does settle down nicely and looks forward to going to bed. He sleeps through the night and wait for signs that you’re awake before joining you for a morning cuddle.

Champ is all about his people and will want to be with you wherever you are, but he is sometimes scared of strangers who show up at the door, so a quiet introduction is best. Champ doesn’t need to be crated while left alone once he understands which things on the floor are his to chew! He is good with children, but would probably be best with children over 8, as he’s not very aware of his strength and a bit clumsy. A fenced in yard would be a super bonus.  Finally, he has not yet met a cat (though his foster family notes that he’s oddly disinterested in deer).
