Frances – Adopted!

  • Mix,
  • female,
  • 5 years,
  • 45 lbs.

Frances is a very pretty girl who is an “All American” mix, part of which looks to be small hound. She was abandoned in Rensselaer county and picked up as a stray. Frances is good on the leash and riding in the car, and while she may be a little shy at first, she quickly warms up with treats and gentle human interaction. She lets people know she’d like to make friends by her always-wagging tail! Frances is a smart girl who knows some commands and for a few treats, would be happy to learn more. She is housebroken and crate-trained, and is fine in the crate during her foster family’s work day. Frances is an active girl and we think she needs a family able to give her a lot of attention. She is most happy when she is outdoors and able to explore. Frances is polite with other dogs when she meets them out on a walk, but in the home she would be best as an only dog. She showed no reaction to a cat during a recent vet visit, so we are cautiously optimistic she would be able to live with one. Her adoption fee has been partially sponsored. Due to her shy nature, we’re looking for a home with older children, teenagers and up, for sweet Frances.
