Liesel is a country girl at heart, who dreams of long walks in the woods and a big yard to play in with her canine siblings. She loves to play fetch, especially in water, and looks forward to her walks every day. After a nice long walk or play session, Liesel can be found cuddling on the couch or a comfy bed with her foster siblings. She takes some time to warm up to humans, but she is very devoted and snuggly once she does. Liesel is an introvert and while she is okay with visitors, she will not engage with them and prefers to hide on the couch under a blanket. She will need a quiet home with limited comings and goings. Liesel’s foster family reports that she is extremely well-behaved — crate-trained, housebroken, rides nicely in the car, walks well on leash, and never jumps, counter surfs, or barks in the house. She has high prey drive and we feel that any kitties or other small animals in her adoptive home would be very tempting to Liesel, so she’ll be placed with canine siblings only. She does have a few fears (children, moving cars, loud noises), but these are manageable in a suburban or country setting. Due to her shyness, Liesel requires a forever home with a secure physical fence and another dog to reassure her.
Liesel’s adoption fee has been partially sponsored.
