Wyatt Earp – ADOPTED!

  • Golden Retriever,
  • male,
  • 9 years,
  • ~60 lbs.

6/22 UPDATE: Wyatt is being evaluated for a leg injury and decisions about his placement are on hold until it resolves. Wyatt Earp is a 9 year old golden retriever looking for his forever home! After years as a breeding dog in North Carolina, he’s ready to retire in a quiet home, where he can sleep all day and enjoy attention from his people. Wyatt loves nothing more than being showered with love and affection from his humans. Although he’s interested in other dogs, he definitely prefers to be by his person’s side. He is house trained and behaves well when left alone. When outside Wyatt loves to explore, but always returns for some love. He’ll even run with you or play fetch – he is a retriever after all! Wyatt is improving on the leash but can be easily scared by cars driving by or objects in his way. He is resilient, though, and is overcoming many anxieties. While he’s good when driving in the car, getting into the car can be a little challenging. He also needs a quiet home without surprises, so one with the craziness of little kids won’t work with him. Overall, Wyatt is a great dog who deserves a home full of love and will be right by your side every step of the day!
