Meet Xena, a sweet and snuggly black lab mix. Xena is affectionately known in her foster home as “Shadow” because wherever her foster mom goes, Xena isn’t far away – her favorite thing it to be where her person is! Xena is medium to low energy and has good house manners (with the exception of finding a stray sock and carrying it around with her). And although we rarely hear her bark, Xena can often be caught snoring during nap time!

Xena is currently fostered with three other dogs, a cat, and a five year old and is doing well in her foster home. Although she took some time to warm up and shake off her shyness (understandable!) she now does well with both the male and female dogs in her foster home and pays little attention to the cat.

Xena is housebroken, crate trained, and makes an excellent traveling companion as she rides really well in the car. She is also always up for a walk around the neighborhood and has excellent leash manners.
