Sweet and goofy little Josephine is a darling little girl who just wants to snuggle and love and play with a doggy brother or sister all day.  She was originally picked up with her brother as a stray in Texas around 6 months old . Since then she has been raised with lots of exposure and socialization in all kinds of ways.

Josie is about 35 lbs and all legs at around 13 months old, she is estimated as full grown but perfectly petite. She’s very healthy  and has had all of her vaccines done, deworming, microchipping, she’s tested negative for heartworm and she is spayed! Shes also on Sentinel for flea, tick and heartworm preventative.

Josie is doing great in her current placement with her doggy foster sister! She has a very adaptable energy level and could be just as happy keeping up on long hikes or runs as she is play with her sister and nap all day.  She is wonderfully confident with every pup she meets! She is a little hesitant with much bigger dogs but has not met anyone who wasn’t a new friend yet!  Additionally she’s very appropriate with the cats she has been introduced to and LOVES all people! Adult and children, she greets everyone excitedly with a tail wagging ! She is still working on that puppy excitement when you first get home and is learning her manners quickly.

Josie is pretty quiet, only occasionally grumbling at the mailman, she rarely barks more than once. She’s super intelligent and has recently graduated from puppy class as the best sitter! She’s excellent going potty outside with occasionaly accidents when we stray from her regular schedule (she always politely finds a kitchen mat or doormat if that is the case). She is crate trained but is currently left out during the day, with gates and puppy proofing she does well! She is still figuring out what is ok to step on to look out the window but with some gates and creative solutions everyone is is currently satisfied. Her favorite things are to snuggle and cuddle on the sofa and in bed, happily sleeping in bed with her family at night!

Josie just wants a forever home who will be snuggly and doting, and has a yard to play in, and a doggy sibling to play with. She is very devoted and wants to be close to her person, following you around the house to see whats up!
