LILA, 3 year old spayed female Bernese Mt. Dog/Lab, 55 pounds. Everything is new to her since Lila was used for breeding, had 2 large litters by 18 months of age, and most likely lived in a barn from birth until CAPP rescued her. She is loving her new life and is adjusting well, but she is sometimes wary in new situations or when people move around her quickly. Lila is crate trained and housetrained if kept on a schedule. A quiet, patient, all adult home is best for this girl–she is too shy to be around active children. She is very strong on leash, so a fenced yard is preferred. With patience and some obedience training, she would make a great walking or hiking companion. Lila’s repressed puppyness is surfacing so she needs to be supervised in a new home. She enjoys playing with polite male dogs near her size. Please note that she is not an apartment dog! $150 adoption fee.
