Bates is a handsome and happy 1 year old lab mix. He is very friendly with everyone, and lived with a cat in his former home. Bates just loves other dogs and will play and play with them for hours. He is fine with respectful visiting children, but because of his energy level and strength, we’d prefer that any children in his adoptive home be 12 or older. He is crate trained and housebroken and rides well in the car. Bates does need to fine tune his leash manners as he is very strong and enthusiastic, but he also loves to please and is smart, so this should not be hard to do. We’re hoping for a home with a fenced-in yard to help him get some energy out, and a playful companion would be a plus!
