Java is a fun young boy who is house trained and crate trained. He has medium energy and loves to play with toys and balls. Java Chip can go out and play or go hiking, but then can come in and snuggle. He is good on leash until he sees a squirrel or a bird and then instincts kick in. He loves to chase and plays like a herder. Java wants to be with his person all of the time. He is smart and learns quickly and knows basic commands. He does best with a routine and rules. He gets wound up and can become a little mouthy and likes to chase, so he probably really isn’t for small children or small dogs. While he gets along with the other dogs in his foster home, he does guard food, so needs to be fed separately. Cats are unknown. Java is a fun companion with a lot of potential.
