Leonardo daVinci. Leonardo DiCaprio. Leonardo the Ninja Turtle. Like other famous Leonardos before him, Adoptable Underdog Leonardo’s superpowers include brains, personality, and a great head of hair!(OK…so the hair thing doesn’t really apply to Leonardo the Ninja Turtle, but you get the idea.)

Like Leonardo the ninja turtle, however, Underdog Leo’s heritage is mysterious. Was grandpa a golden retriever? Maybe. Was mom a spaniel? It’s possible. Was his great-uncle a corgi? We just don’t know. What we do know for sure is that he’s absolutely adorable! Short legs, long hair, and a big voice. He’s got a big dog personality in a portable body.

Leo happily shares his foster home with cats, although he does like to bark at them sometimes. Then again, he also likes to bark at his human, and his toys, and sometimes he just puts his head under his blanket and barks. This guy clearly has a lot to say! He’s fine with kids who respect his space. He adores walks with his human and has very nice leash manners. He’s crate trained. Leo doesn’t like other dogs who get in his face, so he’s looking for a home where he can be the only dog. (There’s a possibility he could share his home with another, very low-key, respectful dog. We’ll be exploring this possibility in the coming weeks.)
