Dexter came to us as an owner surrender, owner swore he was purebred but we’re pretty sure he’s a mix because he is a little small to be purebred.  He must have some lab in him though because he does love to swim – his foster family has taken him out of the fish tank at least twice!  Dexter does not have a lot of experience on a leash but he is pretty quiet in the house – we have not heard him bark once!

Rest assured good people of Peppertree, we are in fact aware that Dexter is a cat, and not in fact a black lab mix, and he does have a home where he is loved.

Although if he keeps trying to get into the fish tank he might find himself available for adoption after all.  But in the meantime if you are looking for a cat like Dexter there are a lot waiting for homes and many great rescues and shelters to work with.  Dexter personally came from our friends at Orange Street Cats, although his family is pretty sure there is only one Dexter.
