Benjamin is a sweet and kind boy who is wonderful with other dogs, and he has been around kids ages 8 and up. He loves them up and even gives kisses to them. He moves from room to room to be near everyone. Benjamin loves attention and will nuzzle or paw you to keep petting.
Costello is an absolute sweetheart. Easygoing and mild-mannered, Costello seamlessly adapted to his foster home, living peacefully with his 3 canine siblings. With his beautiful red coat, Costello is picture perfect walking through the fall foliage. He has been great with all he has met, including a cat and a 4 year old child.
This handsome fellow was surrendered to a shelter in TN by his former owner. He is a super laid-back, low energy guy just looking for a human to be his best friend. Donny is a chipper and talkative yellow lab who was found as a stray. He was in pretty bad shape when he was found but he’s made an almost full recovery in a few short months. What we have learned about him in the meantime, is that he lives for walks, games of catch and keep-away, and cuddling with his family or anyone who will pay a lick of attention to him. Learn More >
Abbott is a sweet-tempered joy to be around. He is very friendly and low energy. He greets humans politely with a calmly swishing tail and is happy to meet other dogs, but is more comfortable with calmer dogs like himself. He has not been introduced to cats while in his foster home. Learn More >

Vanna, short for Savannah, is everything a German Shepherd should be. Smart, loyal, and sweet, with a touch of that good old-fashioned shepherd OCD – did someone say fetch? Lucky brings so much happiness to our home. It’s been so awesome having him here. Lucky sleeps on his bed on our son’s floor at night, he just loves Lucky so much. Hutchley (aka Hutch) is all about hanging out with his person. He is working on trimming down his weight, which is helped by the fact that he loves to take walks in the woods and hang out in the barn or garden. This boy loves vacuums, watching TV, and quick naps with a stuffed sloth under his head and clutched in his teeth. Cocoabean is a sweetheart. Calm, except when you come home and then she is sooo excited to see you! Rolls over on her back for serious belly rubs. When she needs some attention she’ll nudge your hand for head pets. She bonded so easily and quickly. Learn More >
To know Wills is to love him! He is a sweet, easy-going dog who wants nothing more than to be your affectionate companion. He is completely housebroken and crate trained, although he does not need to be crated and can be left alone in the house without any problem. Kara is ten pounds of pure love disguised as a petite pug/lab mix 5 month old puppy. She is very affectionate and wants to give kisses to everyone she meets, both human and canine. Kara looks at you with her big black eyes saying “let’s snuggle”, which seems to be her favorite hobby. Learn More >

Elroy is a delightful pup! Just a year or so old, Elroy seems to get along with everyone, human and canine alike. He is an absolute love bug who loves to lean into you. He enjoys going for walks, taking time to sniff his surroundings but also able to keep a nice pace. Learn More >
Vander was a stray before coming to Peppertree so we do not know a lot about his history, but if he could talk we are pretty sure he would spin some fantastic tale where he was a traveling circus performer, or maybe a pirate. Peanut Butter came to Peppertree from the Saratoga County Animal Shelter. He’s an extremely happy dog that will bounce around the house and has no problem settling down on a bed or in his crate. Peanut gets along very well with the resident dog in his foster home. Learn More >
Hector is a very mellow fellow! He occasionally plays with his toys, and enjoys sniffing around the yard when his foster mom is outside. He will take short walks, but is slow and prefers to just walk to the mailbox or oversee the gardening and chores.
