Chalupa is a classic shepherd soul looking for someone who wants a true companion. She may be a mix, but her personality is all shepherd — smart, curious, and happiest when she’s included in everything. Chalupa enjoys walks, chasing a ball, and especially romping in the snow. She likes mental stimulation and enjoys working and training. She loves running around the yard and would really enjoy having another young dog to romp with.

When Chalupa gets bored, she will find ways to entertain herself, so an engaged home is important. She is housebroken when kept on a schedule. We have no experience with how she is with cats.

She can be timid for the first couple of minutes when meeting new people, but with a slow introduction she warms up quickly and becomes very affectionate, happily handing out kisses and asking for belly rubs.

Her ideal home would be with an active person who wants to invest time in training and adventures — she would love a hiker — and ideally another dog to play with. Chalupa has great potential, and with the right home, she will be a deeply loyal, loving companion who truly wants to be by your side.
