Are you looking for a best friend who can go anywhere with you? If so, Chaplin’s gentle, loving nature might be just what you need!

Our favorite thing about Chaplin is that he likes to stick close by, and his tail starts thumping as soon as you look at or talk to him! Another great thing about Chaplin is that he’s a good listener and picks up on commands quickly – so far, he’s mastered “sit,” “down,” “leave it,” and “drop it.” Chaplin is housetrained and can be trusted alone in the house. He has wonderful manners and has been friendly toward every human and canine that he’s met. Even though he’s still young, Chaplin has the perfect medium energy level. He likes to go for walks and will romp around outside, but then he’s very quick to come indoors to lounge around. He likes to give just the right amount of snuggles and is happy to hang out nearby and watch you do whatever it is that you need to do. When you’re inside, he doesn’t need much. He likes to watch for critters out the window and enjoys having a chew toy around, but he firmly believes that there’s nothing better than falling asleep on the couch with you while you watch TV.

With dogs, he’s the perfect companion for most personalities and will often follow the lead of his dog friends. He likes to play, but won’t be a pest if a dog prefers to be left alone. He also shares his toys and snacks very well with his friends. He’s currently in a foster home with an older female Lab mix and has been a great pal to her. If you don’t have another dog, that’s okay too, because people really are his favorite!

Chaplin loves to be outside, especially if there are critters for him to follow. He cannot live with cats due to his prey drive, and for the sake of all of the cute little critters outside, a physical fence would be best to keep the peace between Chaplin and various wildlife.
