Meet mellow Charlie, a shepherd/lab mix who is about 10 or 11 years old. After living in a home his entire life he was taken to a shelter as a child in the home was severely allergic. Charlie has arthritis in his knees and is on a medication that is giving him a lot of relief. He loves leisurely short strolls and also car rides (might need just a little boost in.) He gets along with dogs but can also happily be an “only dog.” We would love to find Charlie a home that has a cat or two. In his former home the resident cat used him as a big pillow! Ideally a one story home would suit him, and one where someone is home most of the time. He is very companionable and likes to be included in everything—- watching you cook or even just while you relax and read. This soulful gentleman likes to give paw for a “shake” and has great smiling eyes. He enjoys the simple things in life: a breeze to sniff, a warm bed, a friendly pat. Maybe Charlie is the dog for you!
