Dollar is a happy, intelligent, and energetic boy who is learning the routine of being part of a family. Found as a stray outside a Dollar store in TN, he has made remarkable progress learning how to be a good house guest. Because he is enthusiastic about treats, he is easy to train. He has learned “sit” and “down”, and we are working on “stay” and “wait” in doggie class. He is housetrained and does well in a crate. Dollar also looks forward to his daily walks, and has very nice leash manners. Although he likes to sniff, as a hound does, he has a low prey drive. Squirrels cross his path; he glances up and continues his quest for scents. He also likes to look back to make sure his human is with him on his adventures. A fenced-in yard would be best for Dollar. He enjoys having a place to run and relax outside. Dollar needs a quiet and predictable home where he can continue his training. He is young and can get excited; a home with children over 12 would be best for this boy. If you are looking for a companion who is active and eager to join you in all group activities, come meet Dollar. Dollar is heartworm positive and being treated at Peppertree’s expense.
