Flicker – adopted!

  • Mix,
  • female,
  • 3 years,
  • 30 lbs.

Is that a Flicker you see?? This dog will not only follow you around, but her tail will be wagging the whole time! Flicker is hesitant with new people at first, but she will quickly become your best friend, searching for love and attention. She is happy to sit by your feet to get head scratches, or roll on her back for some belly rubs. Once she chooses you, you have a friend for life!

Flicker is currently living with other dogs, both big and small, and enjoy their company. She looks to them for cues about what to do next, or for extra confidence. Flicker is very submissive and happy to watch the other dogs. She’s not one to be a troublemaker and is still coming out of her shell but is happy to do zoomies all over the house! Her foster mom is working on manners as she’ll jump up on you for attention, but a bonus is that she’s housetrained!

Flicker can be nervous with fast movements or loud noises, so a quiet, adult-only home is a must for her, and a secure yard with a physical fence. We’re also looking to place her in a home with another dog for a confidence boost. Her world has been very small and car rides weren’t a part of it, but with practice and positive reinforcement, we think she’ll come to see that they can be good things, though she’ll probably always be more comfortable at home.
