Hayes is a happy, affectionate boy who truly loves his people. He’s happiest when he can sit right next to you on the couch — preferably touching. He forms close bonds and enjoys being near his humans as much as possible. He greets visitors with friendly enthusiasm and may jump up in excitement while saying hello.

His joy carries over into daily life, as he has a medium-to-high energy level and enjoys being active. He does pull on the leash, so continued training will help him polish his walking manners.

In the home, Hayes has been very well behaved. He has been left uncrated for up to 4–5 hours at a time with no signs of distress or destructive behavior. His crate door is usually left open, and he chooses to relax there on his own. On the one occasion the door was closed, he fussed briefly but settled quickly.

Hayes loves car rides and is always ready to hop in and go. At the vet, he showed friendly interest in other dogs and wanted to meet them. He has not yet been exposed to cats or children in his current foster home.

Hayes is a loving, loyal companion who will thrive in a home ready to give him guidance, activity, and plenty of cozy couch time together.
