Hermione (aka Harper) came to Peppertree from South Carolina, where she was found as a stray. She is a lovely, joyful companion in the home. She loves to cuddle, play, and act silly.  She is devoted, but also has no problem resting quietly while her foster mom works from home. Outside the home she can be excitable, which is why a house with a fenced yard is required. Hermione would thrive in a home that keeps her brain and her body busy, although if you are looking for a walking buddy, that would require some extra work. Hermione is smart and industrious and loves to search for mice and practice her commands. She knows sit, down, stay and come. She is too interested in cats to live with them but has lived with like minded-canines, and has also done well as an only dog. Hermione is house trained, loves car rides and does not do well in crates but is fine being left loose. Her energy level may be too much for younger children, so only older kids for Hermione.
