Lucinda is an affectionate, easygoing, smart dog who loves people, other dogs, kids, and cats. She is a hound mix with a beautiful cream coat with muted foxhound colors on her back and adorable “Flying Nun” whippet ears. She is devoted to her humans and loves to follow them around and gaze adoringly at them.

When it’s not snuggle time, Lucinda loves to play fetch with her toys and sniff out chipmunks and rabbits. She loves short walks and patrolling her fenced yard. She is an excellent guard dog and barks to let her people know when someone is at the door or in the driveway. She is housebroken and crate-trained, but doesn’t need to be in the crate when left alone. She takes a daily supplement for her joints but is otherwise healthy, lively, and strong.

Lucinda would be an excellent addition to any size family and quickly learns house rules. This special pup was lovingly given up by her owner because of changing circumstances where the owner was not able to spend enough time with this clever and active sweetheart. She would ideally have a home where at least one person or canine companion will be around to keep her company. A fenced yard would be optimal to keep her safe and active when she is on patrol.
