What can we say about Johnny Rose?  Like his namesake, he’s a bit awkward but always well-intentioned! Johnny had a very small world before coming to Peppertree, so he’s still learning about how to “dog,” but he greets each new experience with enthusiasm (and a little bit of worry — easily soothed by cheese).  He loves playing with the other dogs in his foster home and while he’s still cautious about new people, he’s very affectionate and playful with his foster mom.  He’s not sure what all the toys are for yet, but he loves to jump around and play bow!  Often his excitement gets the best of him and he can’t resist “woofing” at you to express his joy.  Johnny is very much a “velcro” dog who wants to be near you as much as possible and loves cuddling on the couch too.  He’s an expert leaner!

Johnny enjoys running around a fenced yard, but his favorite thing is going for walks with you, so a fence is not necessarily required.  He readily hops in the car for a ride and relaxes quietly in the backseat.  Johnny is working on housebreaking and crate training, and making great progress!  He has not been tested with cats or kids, and will probably do best in a quiet home with just one or two people.  If you’re looking for a chill dog who is just happy to be with you, whether you’re going for a walk or watching TV on the couch, Johnny may be the one for you!
