What can we say about Johnny Rose? Like his namesake, he’s a bit awkward but always well-intentioned! Johnny had a very small world before coming to Peppertree, so he’s still learning about how to “dog,” but he greets each new experience with enthusiasm (and a little bit of suspicion — easily soothed by cheese). He loves playing with the other dogs in his foster home and while he’s still cautious about new people, he’s very affectionate and playful with his foster mom. He’s not sure what all the toys are for, but he loves to jump around and play bow! Sometimes his excitement gets the best of him and he can’t resist “woofing” at you just to make sure you see him. Johnny is very much a “velcro” dog who wants to be near you as much as possible and loves cuddling on the couch too.
Johnny enjoys running around a fenced yard, but his favorite thing is going for walks with you, so a fence is not necessarily required. Car rides are still a little scary for him so he’ll need more practice with that. Johnny is doing very well with housebreaking and does not need to be crated! He has no experience with children and will do best in a quiet, adult-only home with just one or two people. Cats are unknown.
