Lazlo – Adopted!

  • Beagle mix
  • male,
  • 6 years,
  • 45 lbs.

If you’re looking for a loyal best friend who is also a very good boy, Lazlo was born to fill that role. Lazlo loves nothing more than to be with his people. Whether you’re relaxing in the house or going for a walk, when he gazes up at you with pure adoration in his eyes, you’ll fall in love every time. Lazlo loves being petted and will affectionately try to crawl into your lap, but responds to correction if you tell him to sit. He is very food motivated, so if you have some treats on you, he’s very happy to take them off your hands so you can lighten your pockets, especially if they’re Charlie Bears! Lazlo walks very well on the leash and will periodically take breaks to lean into you for petting. Lazlo is not at all hyperactive, but definitely enjoys his exercise and will do best with a family that likes to take long walks and maybe even has a yard where he can play. He is still trying to figure out his favorite ways to play and types of toys, but has potential to enjoy a good game of chase or fetch. In the house Lazlo will spend time chewing on his nylabone, preferably while lounging on a dog bed, and is perfectly happy to hang out in his crate. Lazlo is good with other dogs, but does not seem to like having to listen to the neighbors’ small dogs bark (who does?) and will sometimes let out some houndy little barks of his own to remind them who’s bigger and really in charge here. Cats are unknown. We suspect that Lazlo would also do well with children. He rides well in the car, occasionally trying to climb into the front seat to be as close to you as possible. He does not whine or repeatedly ask you, “are we there yet?” making him a great road trip companion. If you’re looking for a calm, loving, medium-sized lap dog, Lazlo will be happy to apply for the job and as you can see, his resume speaks for itself!
