If you’re looking for a mellow dog who loves to snuggle, Lucas is the dog for you. More than anything Lucas loves cuddles, pats and (occasionally) turkey. He loves going on walks so he can sniff anything he can get his nose into, although he might like squirrels a little too much. While on walks, he gets along perfectly with other dogs, but most of the time he’ll just sniff them and trot back to his person for pats. Be warned, Lucas loves couches and beds and you can often find him taking long naps in the comfiest places in the house. He doesn’t love stairs and sometimes needs coaching to be happy going up and down them. He’s house trained, and perfectly fine being left out of his crate unattended, as long as treats aren’t left out on a counter!!

Lucas is looking for a home with an owner who doesn’t mind a 50-lb lapdog who just adores falling asleep with his head in your lap. He also loves learning new tricks so he’d love to hang out with a family that’s willing to work with him. Luckily he’s a smarty pants, so he’ll pick up commands in no time! Lucas is too interested in cats to live with one.
