Lyla is a sweet girl looking for a quiet home with a canine or feline life coach. Lyla is not crate-trained. Enclosed spaces are hard for her, but she does excellent keeping herself entertained with peanut butter mats and puzzle treats when home alone.

Her confidence has been growing every day in her foster home, but she can still get a bit nervous while meeting new people and during new experiences. She has done very well meeting other dogs and cats! Squirrels, birds, and other smaller backyard animals are a bit too tempting for her.

She is very submissive but can hold her own when playing outside with her big foster brother! When she isn’t having zoomies, she loves to sprawl out on the couch, sit in our laps or get picked up to give/receive kisses, and is always down for a kitchen run to get a snack with you. She shares toys and treats very nicely with her foster brother and is fed at the same time as him.

Although Lyla has been learning to put on a harness and walk on a leash in the neighborhood, she needs a safe place to go potty, so a fenced yard is a must-have for her. She has been doing very well with housebreaking with very few accidents. She does best with a consistent routine and a low stress environment – don’t we all?
