Meet Gabriella, or Gabby as her foster family calls get, a sweet and charming southern belle who is ready to give you a big hug and push her way into your heart! She is very laid back (in fact we’ve only heard her bark once!) and tends to go with the flow, with a personality that reminds us more of an older soul than a young girl. Gabby enjoys wandering in the yard and can’t wait for warmer weather so she can lounge in the sun! Her foster home really feels she would enjoy the freedom and safety of a fenced yard so she can relax outside. Gabby tends to be very submissive to humans, usually laying down and rolling over for a belly rub within seconds of meeting new people.

She is currently fostered with two dogs, a cat, and a 4 year old and does great with all of them. Although she would be happy to be your only dog, with proper introduction and transition, she can be the perfect second or third dog to add to your family because she’s so laid back. She does well with cats, usually paying no mind to them except the occasional sniff. She is excellent with her four-year-old human “foster brother”, very gentle and loving although sometimes unaware of her size when trying to sit on his lap.

Gabby is crate trained, housebroken, rides well in the car, and is quickly picking up verbal commands like “sit” and “lay down”. She also walks well on a leash and need only gentle reminders to stay on track, although she will require stops for hugs along the way.
