Do you want a canine shadow? Are you partial to ridiculously adorable ears? How about a dog who makes you laugh? Then you should meet Paisley. Paisley came to us as a stray, so not much is known about her life before Peppertree – what we do know is she is a very playful, energetic girl who loves being around her people.

Paisley is not the biggest snuggler, but she does love to nap with her people and follow them around the home. She is a great supervisor of chores and yard work! While Paisley has really started to shine in her foster home, she can be a little shy meeting new people. When people rush in and want to squeeze her adorable face she gets a little overwhelmed – she prefers to meet people on her own schedule, and without a lot of pressure. That is why we are seeking an adult home for this lovely girl! While she is very sweet, the coming and going of kids and their friends would just be a lot for her.

We are thrilled to share that Paisley does very well with cats! But we are not sure if Paisley wants to share her home with other dogs – Paisley is being fostered with other dogs and loves playing with the big, mellow female in the home but she can sometimes overwhelm her. And the little dog wants nothing to do with her – Paisley believes in playing hard, preferably with a lot of bitey face and noise. Paisley can also be protective of her crate, although that is easily managed in the foster home. Thankfully she is very happy as an only dog, so, if you are seeking a solo companion, we know Paisley would excel at that!

Paisley is crate trained and working on her house training. She picks up on things quickly and is very food motivated, but can be easily pressured, and overwhelmed by the big world which is why you will not see her at our adoption events. We have accepted that this gorgeous girl is a home body at heart, content to keep your couch warm. And we love her for it.
