Penny Lane and Cocoa Bean – Adopted!

Penny Lane and Cocoa Bean find themselves in the Golden Years of their lives, looking for a retirement home. As a bonded pair, their adoption fee is partially sponsored.

Penny Lane – 16 year old female Chihuahua mix – Penny Lane is an easy girl to have around, she likes her walks but she also likes her naps. She is house trained, has good house manners and loves meeting new people. She lives with two other dogs and is the social director, the first to say hello to new people or dogs. Penny Lane is best buddies with Cocoa Bean and we would love to see them placed together, they have been together for years and are very good for each other. Penny’s quiet confidence helps Cocoa Bean in new situations, and Cocoa Bean helps keep Penny young. Penny does have a medical condition that is being managed by diet, but she doesn’t let that stop her from enjoying life. If someone is looking for sweet and easy companions, Penny Lane, and her friend Cocoa Bean, are great options. Penny Lane has lived with other dogs all her life, and is good with cats. She is fine with visiting children but due to her age and size she would likely prefer a quiet, child-free home.
Cocoa Bean – 12 year old female Dachshund – Cocoa loves people, and is a real affectionate girl. She can be a little reserved in new situations but quickly warms up, especially if her buddy Penny Lane is there to help her out. Cocoa has been living with other dogs her whole life and does best with a canine companion, and is very bonded to her friend Penny Lane. She would love to stay with Penny Lane and have a ready made snuggle buddy in her new home. Cocoa is house trained and good house manners. She does have some arthritis so while she enjoys her walks, she needs some help getting on the furniture sometimes, and would not be suited for a home with a lot of stairs. Cocoa Bean has never lived with cats, and we suspect because of her size and age a quiet home may be best for her.
