Peony – adopted!

  • Shih Tzu,
  • female,
  • 15 years,
  • 10 lbs.

Ready for the cutest little flower in town? Here she is! Peony has been blossoming over the past few months in foster care and is finally ready to find her forever home. She loves, loves, loves to be outside in nice weather, so these warm spring days are very much agreeing with her. Peony is blind and sometimes has trouble navigating around her foster home, but she really comes to life when she’s outside. Grass between her toes, the sun on her back…there’s nothing better. Of course, when it’s too hot (or too cold), she can be found resting on the couch or in her bed, demurely accepting pets and head scratches. She’s quite possibly the least demanding dog you’ll ever meet. She also gets along with other dogs and cats.

At this stage of her life, Peony is looking for a quiet home where someone is home a majority of the time. She was a therapy dog in her youth, visiting nursing homes and bringing comfort to everyone. Now that she’s older, she needs someone to show her that same kindness. If you have room in your heart and home for a little senior, Peony may be just the companion you’ve been searching for.
