Sage is a sweet soul who came to us from a Puppy Mill. Like many dogs from Puppy Mill situations the world is a big, unknown place to Sage and she is doing her best to adjust. We are asking for a home that has another confident dog, as she seems to get a lot of comfort and safety from a canine companion. Sage loves to run in the back yard and you can always see her tail wagging as she explores – a fenced yard is required for Sage. She is learning about walks but still needs a yard to be a safe place for her to relax and just be a dog.

Sage is going to need time to feel safe and build a relationship with her new family. She is still learning to relax around all members of her foster home, so patience and small steps will be key. Because she feels safest in the company of other dogs, she would do best in a home with a confident canine companion who can help show her the ropes. To help her continue to gain confidence, Sage is looking for a quiet, adult home without children. Her compatibility with cats is unknown. She is housebroken and non-destructive in the house.

Sage has never lived in a home or been a part of a family so she needs a patient and understanding home that will give her the space and support she needs.
