Sport is a sweet, affectionate Border Collie mix looking for an active family and a human best friend. He is house trained, crate trained, has excellent house manners, and is eager to please. He loves attention, treats, Frisbee, and especially being with his people.

Sport loves other dogs and would be very happy sharing his home with a canine companion. He can also be an only dog with a family committed to giving him plenty of exercise, playtime, and mental stimulation. He has lived happily with a cat who enjoyed dog-friendly play.

Sport is smart and energetic and needs a home that will keep his body and mind busy. Training, puzzle toys, snuffle activities, agility, Frisbee, and plenty of outdoor time are all great outlets for him. Like many herding dogs, he is naturally interested in things that move, so his family will need to continue his training and keep him safely leashed when he’s out and about.

Sport will be happiest in a quiet, rural or semi-rural environment where he can enjoy an active lifestyle without the hustle and bustle of city living. He thrives with a calm, predictable routine and a family that understands and respects his need for his own space when he wants to relax. Sport would do best in an adult only home.

Sport is looking for a new home through no fault of his own. His family had to move to a city apartment for medical reasons, and the noise and stress of city living were not a good fit for him. In the right home—one that offers him activity, companionship, structure, and plenty of love—Sport will be a devoted and wonderful companion.
