Twix lived in Brooklyn with his family for 11 years when they decided to take him to a shelter. Considering the huge change in his life, Twix is the happiest, sweetest boy you’ll ever meet. He loves everyone, both dogs and people. Twix is very social and is happiest just being with his person and the other dogs in his foster home. He follows his foster around during daily chores and wags his tail when she talks to him. He is perfectly housebroken, but getting used to this grass thing is a little difficult. We think Twix had no access to grass before coming to Peppertree since he doesn’t yet understand the backyard is a great place to do his business. He prefers using the sidewalk during walks but will use a puppy pad while his foster is at work. Twix is a great walking partner. He has impeccable leash manners and being an older gentleman, prefers a stroll more than a brisk walk.

Although there are no cats in his foster home, Twix would likely do well with them if they are dog-savvy. He’s great at reading signals and redirects himself if his foster siblings let him know they don’t want to play. He gets along famously with them and wants to be involved in whatever they’re doing, whether it’s playtime or snuggling up with them for a good nap.
