Wanda – Adopted!

  • All-American mix,
  • female,
  • 6 years,
  • 60 lbs.

Wanda is a sweet, quiet girl, who will happily snuggle, give plenty of kisses, and keep that tail wagging all day long! She is looking for a kind, gentle home with adults and possibly older, patient children, as she is a bit shy with new people and sounds.

Wanda happily greets her people at the door when they arrive home (politely, too – no jumping!) She is treat motivated and is working on simple commands, car training and leash training. Her foster mom thinks she might enjoy agility. Once she is on leash, she is a gentle walker and makes her enjoyment known with an ever-wagging tail.

Wanda is not a barker, loves to play with other dogs, runs/walks around the yard happily sniffing and lying in the sunshine, and really loves to snuggle with her person on the couch. If you’re busy at your desk or in the kitchen, she occupies herself by playing with her squeaky toys or enjoying the scenery out the window. Wanda is a little too interested in cats for their comfort. She is house-trained and crate trained, although she does not need to be crated.

Wanda has learned to relax and enjoy the safety and security of her foster home. Her foster mom says she has a cute end of day routine where she stands by the cookie jar to get a treat before heading to bed, where she is a great bed-mate and rarely steals the covers. She will need an adopter with a secure physical fence, and would most definitely enjoy and another dog in the home, though it’s not required for her. Wanda will make someone’s home complete with her gentle disposition and ability to show her love and appreciation to her forever people!
