Robbie came to us from a hoarding situation over the summer and has slowly settled into a routine in his foster home. He looks forward to his meals, gets excited when his foster mom gets home from work, and readily follows the other dogs outside. Meet Elroy he is senior rottie arrives from Texas . He is a sweet, older gentleman who plays nicely with socialized dogs (all sizes). His favorite pastimes include catching balls or treats from the air, laying around, preferably on a giant pillow or rug, and chewing on chew toys. Sweet and loyal, those two words describe our Ruth Ann. She is a happy girl who loves treats and playing with toys, but does not want to share them in the home and would like to be Queen (the only pet.) Ruth Ann is certainly polite with dogs in public, it’s simply that she will be most content as the only pet. While playful, she is also just happy to nap while you are busy.

Bella, 8-9 years old, 45 lb. lab mix whose human mom passed away. She is sweet and happy with wonderful house manners. She loves to play, go for walks, ride in the car, and hang out by your side. She is a great cuddler who appreciates every kindness.
Bella is working with a trainer on her leash skills and to be polite when meeting other dogs as, like so many dogs, she is selective about her dog friends. She so deserves to be someone’s special girl–you can see in her eyes how much she wants to belong. A home as an only loved dog is on her wish list.

Our 6 year old Coco was a trooper – he did his photoshoot in the rain yesterday. This big couch potato of a guy is extremely dog social, and currently lives with 3 others. He’s house/crate trained, and is pretty low maintenance. No kitties for Coco, though – he finds his inner puppy when he sees them!
This gentle giant is not a super sloth but is quite mellow. He loves hanging out. He will happily chomp on a bone or deer antler for long stretches of time and move about. He likes to hang out with his foster mom for short periods when she does yard work. He appreciates short walks, and probably wouldn’t mind two or three every day, as long as they are leisurely.
Coco loves his food but is cutting back for his own benefit. He is friendly with everyone and good at the vet. He just wants to give out big smiles and soft hugs. He like to roll around on his back and to side to side like a younger dog, and bounces after flies.
Indy is a sweet yellow lab mix who was found as a stray in South Carolina. She is housebroken, walks well on a leash, and rides in the car politely. She loves walks in the park and meeting new people and dogs. Cats are unknown, although she responded in a friendly way, with tail wagging, when she saw some cats in the pet store behind glass. Bluey is an approx 2 yr old, 55-60 lb sweetheart who is good with other dogs, all people including children, and cats! He is neutered and up to date on all vaccinations. He knows some commands and is housebroken. Leo (4 years old) and Theo – male Havanese mixes – Meet Leo (white and black) and Theo (gray and tan) – two Havanese mixes looking for a new home, preferably together. Leo, who is a Havanese/Shih Tzu mix, is a quiet dog who loves to take walks, sleep on the couch and greet his people when they come home. He loves to play fetch, but he is not really an outdoorsy fellow. Leo likes the comforts of snuggling on the couch. He is very social with other dogs, but can be unsure at times. Leo has always been with his companion dogs and is very bonded to Theo, which is why the family would like them to go together. Theo is a great complement to Leo – Theo is a Havanese/Dachshund mix and will let you know when people are at the door. He is a protector! Although once they come in he is very, very friendly. Both dogs are very kind, but Theo is more spirited – while Leo sits in the sun outside Theo prefers chasing squirrels. Theo also loves walks, and both dogs are good with kids, cats and other dogs. Theo does get worried during thunderstorms but he has a special calming blanket that helps him. Both dogs are good listeners, and are pee pad trained. The family is sad to let them go but unexpected changes are making it necessary. They say they are two “super special” dogs, looking for a “super special” home. Rose is a petite little girl. She is an extremely happy girl, but needs a little time to get comfortable in new surroundings. Rose gets a little worried about meeting new people but warms up quickly with treats and patience. Once you’re “ in” with her, she’s a happy, silly girl .
Rose has done well with children of gentle nature, ages 6 and up. She would like a male dog for a friend that is respectful of her wishes. She is housebroken, crate trained, and likes country walks. Rosie isn’t a fan of living in the city, or busy households. She prefers a low key lifestyle.

Ottis – almost 1 year old Lab/Boxer mix (although we think something else snuck in) – Ottis is a simple guy, looking for a simple life as a family dog. Ottis does well with other dogs and has lived with three cats. He even grew up with a baby who is now 2 yrs old and loves to throw his ball for him. That’s right – he has toddler experience! Ottis has not been on many car rides but seems to love the ones he’s been on. Ottis did not get much time outside of the house as a puppy so he is a little unsure in new places, but he turns to his person for comfort and support, and always tries his best. In the home he is a lovable friendly mix with typical lab/boxer-ish energy who is always ready for a game of fetch in the yard. Although he likes to keep the things he fetches…. he’s still learning how the game works! Ottis has been updated on all his shots and has a scheduled neutering appointment September 12. Kaylee is a sweet, calm, content-to-be-by-your-side kind of girl. She barks when she hears something she’s not sure of, but is not persistent about it and can be redirected. She is fine with other dogs and puppies and will play a bit with them, but prefers her own company and would be fine as an only dog.
